🔋 In 2022, existing startup scietific research and product development company, XL Batteries, signed a 10-year lease and moved their startup to #Marlborough after calling Brooklyn, NY home for 3 years. This move allowed them to expand, bring new jobs to the city, and invest in their new location on Locke Drive. MEDC supported them through our Small Business Incentive Program which allowed for reimbursements over a period of two years. Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is the state chartered economic development corporation for the City of Marlborough, MA and represents a public-private partnership for planning. It works with municipal and private investors to foster economic development, job growth and community revitalization and expansion in the city. 🎉 Today we presented Zarape Restaurant in #MarlboroughMA with their Storefront Beautification Grant from our Toolbox Program. After completing a major renovation last year they needed a solution to keep the guests who were enjoying their meals protected from the cold air outside as other guests entered and exited the building. They found a seasonal vestibule that could be used during the winter months, would compliment the renovation, and improve their #SmallBusiness.
